Stepping into the coastal home of artist Ash Holmes, the space has been carefully curated to evoke the sense of a gallery itself. Folk Studio’s lead designer Mariah, was Inspired by Japanese minimalism, each space designed with purposeful simplicity and seamless functionality, incorporating warm tones, deep greens and earthy textured ceramics throughout.
When Luka reached out to me to capture their family home, I couldn't have been more excited! I had seen little sneak peaks on Luka’s instagram and I could tell it was a home full of character, just like it’s owners. We stayed at The Lane, however you can rent out both properties which are back to back if you wanted to! With access via your own private Lane, The Lane at House 162 is everything you would expect to find in luxury accommodation.

I say easy, because that’s what sat at the forefront of our minds when choosing furniture. Mixing style with safe, practical pieces was a must, as our little Luck Cottage was curated to grow our family in.
We kept the colour palette neutral, bringing in features of interest and texture through key furnishings and design details, like the DiLorenzo tiles, old-style tapware, Talostone bench tops, Lo and Co Handles and pops of forest green in our laundry cabinetry.
